There has been evidence that Saban and Kiffin kind of mailed it in for the UW game. Kiffin mentioned something to the effect of "yeah if we just ran the ball and didn't do anything too crazy on offense we thought we could win".

What if, and hear me out, what if Saban let Kiffin prepare for the UW game, and let Sarkisian watch film of Clemson/Ohio State for the past month. What if he let Sarkisian develop his own gameplan for Clemson and planned to give Kiffin the boot right after the UW game?

Recently in the Alabama news media there is all this talk about practices going so smoothly and really learning the gameplan vs. Clemson. How could that happen if Sark wasn't prepping for one this entire time, knowing that Kiffin would get the boot and he'd be calling the plays vs. Clemson?

Is Saban a dark lord master, or are there one too many black helicopters in my head?

Ill just say this...I thought it was extremely foreshadowing when Saban brought Sark in as a consultant. Saban is just that good. So is Alabamas budget!

I'll check with the Russians and Julie Assange.

Ok. It checks out. Saban orchestrated Brexit and the election of The Donald as a distraction from Sark after Dark replaces Joey Freshwater.

It will all come out. Soon. Very soon.

Saban also paid Cam Newton. It was an elaborate plan.

What about Ohio State? Maybe Kiff and Saban worked on UW and OSU while Sark worked on CU? If OSU won, Kiff stays on for the game, if CU won, Kiff hits the road and Sark steps up. Maybe?

While it would be nice to think that there was some serious 7D chess going on there, I'm going with the simplest explanation. Kiffin needed to run the damn ball and his time expired after a shitty performance against UW.

I was thinking that the offense just sort of Plained it down to give Clemson something else to think about.
Nothing more than that.
Expect a plethora of jet sweeps and bubble screens.

At this point, I would love more bubble screens vs. read-option where Jalen makes the wrong read.

What about Ohio State

Even if he split his time b/w Ohio St and Clemson, that's still at least 2 more weeks to prepare for Clemson than Clemson has to prepare for Bama. I immediately thought the same thing when this was announced. Besides Vegas, don't think anyone truly believed Ohio St would win.

Heh. As inventive as your scenario is, this is where it falls apart. How could that happen? Easy -- the reporters asked Saban how practices were going, he flipped a coin and went with "Smoothly" instead of "Oh. My. God. You wouldn't believe how awful Sarkisian has been this week." I think that was the best option, personally.

I thought of that as well. It's like when you buy a new car and all your friends ask you, oh how do you like it? You're never going to answer, "it's not what I wanted" no matter what. You don't want people judging your own decision making capabilities above all else. But where I found it interesting was the players actually went above and beyond and said that practices have improved this week, instead of just staying the same. And that's the players.

It's possible Saban is telling them to say it is improving, or they're all so bought in they realize they need to say things are improving.

Saban's planning is much more diabolical.

The Process...the sporting world's version of Village of the Damned. I'm pretty sure I've seen their eyes glow behind the mask.

I thought either Saban or Kiffin confirmed this in an interview last week, listing this as one of the reasons the split was beneficial and mutually agreed upon.
