Alright a&m fans, now that I have your attention: how do you foresee Myles Garrett's rookie season going? I think he's a fun player to watch and hope to god he doesn't go to the browns and have his career destroyed before it even gets started.

Fournette is going to be great for the Panthers.

We'll see what happens, but I think Myles is gonna be upset when he finds out Nevada and UTSA aren't in his division

I harbor no ill will against the guy, though I'll admit I may feel differently if he had shite all over lsu during his time at a&m

And Fournette will be upset when he finds out NFL defenses are like playing Alabama every game.

See I can be dumb too

Fournette didn't rack up all his stats against terrible OOC opponents, unlike Myles

Hopefully Cam and Les aren't the coaches of whatever team he goes to

Eta: please attempt to refrain from letting your butthurt derail the thread.

Alabamas front seven outclassed LSUs OL by a wide margin. You won't see LSU fans argue otherwise.

The panthers actually have a pretty good OL and certainly won't be outplayed by another team's front seven they way LSU's was.

But you knew that already.

Do you honestly think a sack vs UCLA/Arizona State is different than getting one vs South Carolina, Missouri, Vandy, etc?

Not what I was saying. I was pointing out that he had 11.5 sacks against ULM, Nevada and UTSA, AKA the same number of sacks he had against SEC competition over his whole career

I would not put that evil on anyone. I think Garrett has a shot at a good career in the NFL.

The problem is that it can be so hard to tell who is going to land in the right spot on the right team to have a good career. I've lost track of the number of guys who had good talent and never made it in the NFL because they landed on the wrong team.

Though I did poke fun at his Wonderlic score I do wish the best for Fournette in the NFL. If Miles had opened up the offense some so teams couldn't just stack the box I really believe Fournette could have won the Heisman at LSU.

Maybe you should watch the tape of the Auburn game that we WON where Myles Garrett shut down his entire side of the line.

I think he'll be good. Most rookies don't dominate the league from day 1. Should be able to get some sacks even on the shitty arse Browns.

Browns are in a position to be a very good team in the next 2-3 years with all of the draft picks they have.....
Kinda like San Fran when Harbaugh took over...

Well since they actually call holding in the NFL... his impact just from that should be huge.

I'm sorry, but what?

His "Heisman campaign" in 2015 saw him post a total of 1953 rushing yards. Right at 45% of those yards came against terrible OOC opponents. That's almost half of his production.

Let's not dismiss the terrible conference teams he put up yards against: 228 yards against an Auburn team that won two SEC games in '15 and 158 against a three win South Carolina team are two examples.

Tell me what he did against teams who had a success in '15? You'll find about 25% of those rushing yards.
