Exactly. Not sure how he can try this card with his history. Oh yeah, and the three eye witnesses besides the girlfriend

Yes, because lord knows the other SEC programs surely would have kicked off a player entering his junior season after being a Heisman finalist and playmaker extraordinaire in his sophomore year, for failing internal marijuana tests. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiighttttttttt...

I'm still pissed Les kicked Perrilloux off the team. We had NOBODY ready to play QB at that time. Zero depth or experience after Perrilloux. Les has a record of being fair in regard to second chances and kicking off star players even if it means hurting the team by doing so. Personally I wish he'd be less even handed about it but I respect the way he runs his program.

Great Les, just let the guy lose on society.

I felt safer when he was still on the team.

As an aside, I really could care less if a kid fails a weed test. It is not like that is an enhancement for on the field play... As far as being illegal, so is consuming alcohol under 21, but how many players do that on a weekly basis?

Correlating a kid smoking weed to one who hits a woman (if the story is true) is not really a fair comparison at all.

The Pine Weasel got kicked out of school by LSU for failing many drug tests but I love how you guys always act like Les kicked him off the team.

The poster I was responding to was using Mathieu as an example of LSU disciplining starters. I was countering that he isn't a great example of strict discipline, as he had failed double digit drug tests before being shown the door. Regardless of what you think of synthetic marijuana, the fact remains that it is a banned substance in NCAA. Therefore, Tyrann Mathieu is a poor example of LSU's equal treatment for a starter.

actually he didn't get kicked out of school. he was still a student that fall after being kicked off the football team. then he got arrested with jordan jefferson, among others, for smoking weed in a campus apartment complex. that's when he left lsu as a student. he was automatically ineligible to be part of the athletic program for failing too many drug tests.

Had he committed to Texas instead of LSU, their $1 retainer lawyer would have gotten him off with a $20 fine.

Why does everybody besides Barners always refer to Auburn whenever a player gets kicked off a team?....

I have no dog in the fight about Mathieu or Trey Lealaimatafao and was not criticizing you, it just seemed like a good place to bring up the hypocrisy of punishing kids for weed when it is okay to binge drink every week under age.
