Who gets to the big game in Atlanta first?
I'm going with Kentucky. They have recently gotten serious about football. Coach and facility upgrades. Recruiting is better. They may make a run for the East in a year or two.
Three reasons Ole Miss won't make it. Alabama, LSU, and Texas A&M.
Vanderbilt? Let's face the facts. Vanderbilt's academics put them at a serious disadvantage. Most of the star athletes on other SEC teams simply could not make the grade at Vandy.

Kentucky and Vandy have easier paths, so I think they're probably 1 and 2.

We're getting the death penalty we're shutting our entire program down so we'll never make it. Old Piss is done it's over.

How in the world did Mississippi State make it to Atlanta? Is there something I'm missing?

1998. Same record with Arkansas but beat Ark in the head to head. Went on to play UT on the Vols way to win a title.

1998 was a really bad year for the West. IIRC, only Arkansas and MSU finished above 7 wins, and neither made it to 10.

(I know they didnt in 1999 but that year didnt happen)
