Relative to the intensity and intangibles it takes to create an atmosphere where each and every player can step up and bring physical and mental toughness to the table in terms of how to execute the plan every play with precision while staying firm in your commitment to dominating the opponent for 60 minutes in a game and having trust in eachother to do what's right.

But seriously, sometimes I get so tired of his coach speak and inability (lately) to just pick a damn QB. I know the position is, in the grand scheme of things, mostly irrelevant to the team's success, but that wishy-washy bullcrap Saban did because a QB hadn't "won over the team" cost Alabama their only loss of the season.

Okay I'm done. How you guys doing today?

Had nothing to do with why Bateman got the start.

Don't you EVER bitch about coach speak. You have no idea what I go through with Butch Jones and his coach speak, NO IDEA.

Even if he does know who the QB is there's no reason to let USC know this early.

Blah, Blah, Blah, you hate him cause he is good and you are jealous. Once you come to terms with that you can move on.

I think he probably knows who his QB will be week one. He just doesn't want to tip off USC.

Better than Paterno Coach speak. "I don't wanna here any talk about raping boys we got games to win". Saban's statue is still up.

There was a reason Coker didnt start the ole miss game and it has to do with saban and his psychological games. Coker responded as he thought. The same thing happened in 07 when we played LB/Qb/Rb Jimmy johns at rb the whole game and sat down grant and coffee against monroe. Sometimes a message has to be delivered the hard way. Hard enough to hurt the team but he kills the calf to save the herd.

He knows who the qb is. He still is molding them into his image of our qb with mind games. We dont question it. It works. The last time we had a qb come into the season comfortable as the starter, we didnt even win the west.

Much like Kurtz in apocalypse now, his methods are unconventional even controversial. There were leaks to the press about the starter. Two assistants and an booster turned up skinned and nailed to a barn. Leaks stopped.

I think in the past he has had the luxury of waiting to decide his QB. For the most part his early SEC schedule has been easier.
