What a showing by that squad. They played their hearts out and I can't believe they got out the 9th only giving up 1 run.

This is what makes college sports the best there is. It's tough to go into BR and sweep the Tigers. Hats off to that team.

Baseball is fun because even smaller schools can compete

They played outstanding. I'm disappointed with the Tigers, but to earn a national seed and win their regional is still an accomplishment. Wish the SEC would've performed better Hats off to them. Good luck teal chickens

Honestly, I don't see LSU or CCU making it very far in Omaha. Both teams have only 2 good pitchers which isn't going to work

LSU blew so many opportunities. Coastal Carolina took full advantage. Great series by those guys

Congrats to them. Every time they got a runner on, it felt like they would score. Every time we got a runner on, it felt like we'd leave them on. CC is a solid team, good luck to them

CC was more aggressive and we left a damn village on bases. Glad the rally possum is dead, or so we think.

If LSU had the want that CCU had we'd probably go to Omaha every year.

Coastal is 'smaller'..but not that small. They are over 10k students now. Coastal's new baseball stadium and batting facility is second to none.

Coastal's whole athletic dept. got a multi-million deal from TD Ameritrade. Coastal's football coach, Joe Moglia was CEO of TD Ameritrade...he's a billionaire. (isn't it fitting that Coastal is going to TD Ameritrade Park). Coastal gets several million per year from them..and Coastal's Stadium is part of TD Ameritrade Sports Complex.

Coastal is moving up to D1 fb next year. They have made the NCAA field of 64 before..now this.

Coastal will be a major sports university in the next 10 years. They are the next university not many people know about that is about to explode.

The Coastal football coach is an interesting story, and the answer to the trivia question "Who is the richest football coach in America."

Dude built TD Ameritrade from scratch, always wanted to coach football though. He somewhat "bought" his first coaching job and turned out great for Coastal. He's 41-13 in six seasons.

pretty shrewd of Coastal's AD. Moglia has brought millions and millions of dollars to the school..and has donated plenty as well. When he hits the local watering holes..which he does..he pays the whole bar tab.

Moglia is Texas ATM $$ in one person..without all the BS.

They have quietly caught fire in the last few years and they are in a rich recruiting area.

Ehh...wasn't this same thing said about UCF, USF, Florida International, and Florida Atlantic? Those schools are huge (40,000+). I think you're putting a little much emphasis into that little school in Conway, South Carolina.

Nonetheless, great showing by the baseball team. They were very impressive.
