I firmly believe that. I think people were too quick to write Auburn off. I know it was Missouri, but I feel like they are going to be on the up and up from here on.

I personally think Auburn is the 2nd best team in the SEC. However I also believe they will drop another game and Bama will have the SEC wrapped up by the Iron Bowl

My feeling is Auburn will improve greatly, but still have two conferences losses going into the game.

maybe so, but

Missouri

Let's not get too excited just yet b/c they scored a lot on Missouri. I mean, Missouri State put up 40+ on them and South Carolina scored more on Mizzou than they have in their last 2 games combined.

I don't think Missouri means anything at all, but I do think Auburn is the 2nd best team in the West and possibly the 2nd best team in the SEC (along with Georgia).

This weekend will be a good test to see where they are offensively.

I disagree.

Arkansas vs. LSU, IMO.

Alabama will have clinched the West before the Iron Bowl.

completely agree. LSU looked like their most losable game coming into the season, and right now that looks a lot easier.

I don't necessarily disagree with you, but who do you see as their second loss? All of their tough games, besides ours, is at home.

Even if Auburn loses another game, the SEC West would likely still come down to the Iron Bowl. Auburn's loss to Clemson doesn't hurt them in the SEC.

As long as AUburn only drops one before then, then yes.

True, and while embarassing....if you watched that game, we annihilated them, then crapped a blowout away by fumbling the ball FOUR times and had a pick that was on the WR. If you turn the ball over 5 times and the other team plays keepaway, you only get a few possessions. I think we had 11 possessions. 2 punts, 5 TOs.

We had almost 550 yards of offense and only gave up about 230 or so on defense. The score wasn't indicative of how badly we controlled that game.

Not necessarily an excuse, but it does explain it.

Bama will have the West wrapped up before the Iron Bowl. The Barn is still a 4 loss team.

I think State has the kind of dline that will give Auburn fits protecting Stidham. I think Auburn loses a close one this weekend. Though it is not impossible, I just don't see anybody beating Bama in the west, and UT from the east is not going to beat them either.

Totally off topic, but are you the RollTide1987 that posts the 20-25 minute clips of old Alabama games? If so, I love your videos. I am not even a Bama fan, but over the off-season I watched several of them in my spare time to get my football fix.

People have jumped all over Jarrett Stidham, but he clearly isn’t the problem and hasn’t been for Auburn’s offense. He’s improving each and every game, and we have to all remember that he’s just a sophomore. He’s going to continue to improve.

I think Alabama fans best hope the team keeps focusing on one game at a time.

They are easily the most talented team in the SEC. But, parity and passion make it so teams can't afford to overlook anyone. Poor preparation and execution can make the talent gap irrelevant.

Still a lot of football to play.

If UA is focused, there may be a couple more 59-0 games this year. If not, there could just as easily be a Rocky Block type game out there ... afterall, Mercer is on the Tide schedule.

Stidham is good. It has been protecting him that has been Auburn's problem so far. Nobody can throw effectively on their back.

Based on what they've shown it's still not clear they're locks to beat any of the SEC west or UGA. Even the worst of the west is talented physically enough to match up with this Auburn team. Even Arkansas, Ole Miss, and TAM can score a lot on most teams, and LSU has about 15-20 future pros on it every year.

IF they manhandle MSU this week, then count me on board the idea they could run the table until they finish with UGA and Alabama.
