so 2003, 2005, and 2011 (Taj Boyd's first year), they were a good team, and Clemson won.

5-3 in the ACC isn't good, and in 2011 they lost to Wake fricking Forest, Virginia, and OU... as well as Clemson for another 5-3 ACC record.

that has to be some SEC bias, because Clemson plays at Lousivile, at Miami, at NC State, at SC, and has G Tech, FSU and ND at home.

It's still not the same as playing thru the SEC gauntlet of teams and you have to know that.

That's not SEC bias. It's just the way it is. This is the toughest conference in the nation. That's why the schedules rank as tougher than y'alls.

show me a program that can play for a title every single year. but even when FSU is down they are still better than most

i don't think tryint to dismiss Clemson's 6-6 record with FSU over past 12 year (the modern era) is the best way to diss Clemson. lol Ya'll count FSU's wins over Clemson when Clem has a bad overall season.

One of FSU's wins over Clemson in last 10 years was a last second 55 yard FG by a walkon kicker. I believe it was his first kick ever in a game. lol God loves FSU.

Tech was already in and left
FSU had their chance
Clemson would be 6-6 every year if they joined and they like winning...

I think if we snagged NC State or a school in North Carolina (highly unlikely) the SEC would be

it isn't based on anything real. It is all projection, like TN will be a top team this year. Based on their past 5 years, that doesn't seem guaranteed. you'll be playing a Florida team that literally has not had offense in like 3 years. you have vandy, Kentucky, not exactly a gauntlet. Missouri is ok but their offense wasn't lighting it up last year and they lost to Indiana out of conference.

Clemson would out-recruit Alabama is we were in SEC and could use the hype as a sales pitch.

the real question is how well would SEC schools do in the ACC if they lost their best sales pitch, 'we are in the best conference'? the assumption SEC schools make is recruiting would still be the same for their school

And they play Texas A&M. Seems like a gauntlet to me. About 20 times harder than Clemson's schedule. Wake Forest? NC State? Syracuse? Boston College? Half your conference slate is an absolute joke.

Please tell me you don't really believe this...

Your coach is dumbo Sweeney.

Bama's coach is Nick Saban.

'nough said.

NC State is at least equal to the Missippi schools most year plus it is on the road. FSU has lot a lot to NC State in Raleigh.

BC isn't a cupcake.

Duke scored like 55 points on Texas AM a couple of years ago in the bowl. that team almost literally does not have a defense.

ten, arky, vandy, Kentucky, florida have all been pretty bad in recent years. lsu isn't lighting up a scoreboard. you don't look at your conference objectively. n ot every team in it is playing for a title every year.

I didn't think either MS school was all that great last year, good teams but flawed in one of their units, but after they won a SEC game or two , it was like they are best teams to ever play the game. lol the hype gets a little crazy sometimes.

Guess you didn't hear what CLowney said about Saban. lol

I meant to say Clemson *could* out recruit Alabama, if we were in the SEC. it would more possible than it is now and we already do beat them out for a lot of good players including our QB.

Guess you also didn't hear Dabo being mentioned as a top choice if not the top choice to replace Saban when he leaves.

Clemson gets good recruits and we can't pitch our conference's success in football to get them. I don't think it is unreasonable to think Clemson would recruit even better if it moved to SEC. I don't think you can just assume Clemson would struggle in the SEC. Texas AM and Missouri have done ok and neither of them were powerhouses prior.

Better than the majority of the ACC.

Still better than 80% of the ACC.

Now I know you're not intelligent and you believe stupid things you want to in order to fit your narrative. To think that Alabama has a "top choice" to replace Saban is stupid. That's not how it works. To believe that person is Dabo Swinney, is even stupider.

SEC Network said Dabo was on the short list. I didn't hear the exact comment.

He's proven he can recruit and oversee a program winning some games. He played on Bama's title team in 92 and coached at Bama for a while. He's from bama.

So, not absurd to think he might get a look and maybe even be top option.

I can't see Dabo leaving Clemson for Bama because I think he likes living on a pristine clear water lake near the mountains.

always easy to say you are better when no games are played. you would view the schedule differently if you had to play the teams.

I guarantee you if you look at a SC fan forum, they aren't talking like the UNC game will be a cakewalk. lol

ten, ark, Kentucky had like 3 wins combined in 3 years time. they kind of came out of it last year. florida has been a dumpster fire. ole miss looked beatable last year, that qb was not that good.

Clemson class was ranked 4th for 2015. A SEC bump wouldn't possibly put Clemson over Bama?

Clem beat you out for players Saban wanted, Boyd, Sammy Watkins, Deshuan Watson and so on, without getting the SEC hype bump in recruiting.

it is crazy how both spurrier and saban have used unsuccessful brief stints in NFL to recruit so successfully. lol

I wish Dabo could go be head coach of Oakland Raiders for one season, lose most of his games, get fired like all Oakland Raider coaches do, then come back to Clemson to sell his NFL experience to recruits.
