The SEC "Mystique" Of The Past Decade Is Crumbling

Other conferences and teams have used innovation to do an end run around the conference. As far as I can tell, Bama is the only team holding up the conference pride. I really don't see LSU being a real force any more until Miles is gone. And it may take a coach or two to find the right hire. Seeing a pretty good Ole Miss team getting taken to the woodshed and LSU losing to a mediocre Notre Dame team makes me question the dominance of the conference going forward.

We had a down year

Can't help the good teams were down, boosting the Miss schools up to appear like they are the dominant teams

The Mississippi schools are still the same old Mississippi schools

Damage control can still be done. Two shitty teams don't have to screw up the whole conference. It might be the only two losses.

LSU sucked and ND was underrated for probably the first time ever. This game is interesting. TCU looks really good and really pissed. OM offense is embarrassing.

SEC needed a down year. Complete domination gets boring. Also, the SEC mystique is getting non Big6 schools great recruiting classes. Maybe a down year or two will cool that just a bit.

I'm sick of the SEC's credibility being on the line every single OOC game. The SEC might not be invincible but it's a fact that it has been the best conference in the country for a while.

The prestige will remain intact after Bama wins the playoff.

Maybe not for everyone. Certainly for the rest of the country it was getting old.

Been saying all season that the SEC is still the best, but greatly overrated. Old bumpkin guard didn't want to hear it. That's the reality though.

Frankly I had not looked at it this way, I thought they were up but maybe they are even

If true then they are a good place to yard stick to how the SEC is fairing

The gap has closed. The most talented team in the country is not even in the SEC.

SEC loses one or two every year in bowls.

We still have MSU, Bama, Auburn, and Mizzou to go. Please.

MSU hasn't even played yet so how can you say that? What if we win today?

Why, because Ole Miss and LSU sucked it up in their bowl games?

Last I checked, despite you two going all herp-derp, the SEC is 4-2. Including epic beat downs of Texas and Louisville.
