Also of course Hawaii is going to win it, the place is a tropical paradise

And the locals are miserable as hell.

Or... maybe they are just miserable when they see caucasians that they blame for taking their land every day.

And not even second to last, ahead of West Virginia and Kentucky too. No way it's legit.

You're reading it wrong. But no, you're not last. You're 8th.

So is it bad to "want" food, shelter, and medicine?

what?

how can you have MORE shelter than just a place with a roof? how much medicine do you need? and how much money for food do you -need-?

your POINT is pointless! i never implied southerners wanted food, shelter or medicine in particular any more or less... besides, those are needs and NOT wants.

To have -more- shelter, you'd have to own more than one home or place to live. Northerners do not win that on a per capita basis with any convincing numbers.

To have more medicine should really imply that the medicine those northerners take help them live a convincing amount of years more than the average southerner. Other than antibiotics or life saving surgery, what medicine do the northerners have that is considerably superior? Northerners do not win that battle, either.

Oh, and food? I think the south has the obesity category dominated. SEC style! So, again... the yankees lose!

<no offense yankees... just wanted to make a point that his target comparative demographic has no strategic advantages even in a futile argument... since these 3 items are more need based than "want" based.>

You're taking this far too seriously.

And the reason that the south leads in obesity is because it's expensive to eat healthier.

You just proved my point. A higher percentage of southerners don't have basic needs like food, shelter, medicine.

It doesn't say MORE. It refers to people who don't have a home.
Food? It's meant to say there are more people in the south who are without enough food to keep them healthy.
Medicine? Ever heard of the Mayo Clinic?

Funny how those people committing suicide can't vote in gallup polls.

maybe for you but don't go thinking your opinion is the only one to count. i have lived in ALL of those states (except virginia) and louisiana and tennessee are BY FAR the best states to live in. also, i ranked georgia as third and texas and NC as the shittiest places i've lived in. now, that's my learned opinion.

It is clear to me that the persons constructing this system were not fans of moonshine. I therefore invoke the rankings are invalid.
