I was looking at LSU's schedule with a buddy today after the absolute dumpster fire of a game we played against Syracuse. In an SEC year like the ones I'd gotten used to, from around 2006-2012, this LSU team would easily be a 5-7 team or worse.

But we looked around and it seems like Florida, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Texas A&M are all winnable. We're not gonna win all of them, but going 3-2 against that slate isn't unreasonable even though we're complete garbage this year.

What happened to the conference this year?

LSU's OL got smoked by Syracuse, brah. They'll struggle with every team on the schedule. 7-5 or 6-6 is most likely

Every team in the SEC besides besides Mizzou could win most of their games or lose most of their games.

Lol the conference is not fine.

We did hire Eaux and we are fricked for a few years for it, but we can still beat half the teams left on our schedule. How???

That is what I'm thinking we'll do. 3-2 or 2-3 against those five teams I named, win against Troy, loss against Alabama and Auburn. 3-5 or 4-4 the rest of the way is a 6-6 or 7-5 year.

Can we sticky this thread so it's not posted hourly?

Conference is fine. Look at the records vs out of conference. Some good wins in there

Lose to Florida, Auburn, Alabama, and one of UT/Ark/A&M for 7-5.

Damn I hadn't thought of this. Don't think anyone else has either. I thought the SEC was playing just fine. Best ever actually.

Like who? Kansas State? Florida State jumps off the page but they're 0-2. Y'all beating ND might be the best of the bunch and if that's all the conference can claim, we bad fam

NC State and GT will probably be in the upper tier of the ACC and both were beaten by 2 average SEC teams.

You think the ACC is the best conference?Who exactly are their best 3?Clemson struggled with a bad BC team
and Auburn completely stuffed their running attack.

How bout the big 12?OU and TCU and who else?Maybe OSU

Big 10?No doubt PSU and Michigan are playoff capable but who do you have after that?Whisky (overrated) and OSU (killed by OU)

MSU,UK,UF,Ark even SC all have a chance to be good teams and the top 3 in the conference are as good as the top 3 in any other conference.

Is the SEC what it used to be in '11,'12,'13 and '14?
Of course not but its no where near as bad as'15 and '16

Because everyone went out and hired terrible HCs. Kirby maybe great one day but he is still unknown at this point. Getting up for one year is much easier than maintaining years of excellence. Teams like Auburn are more the norm now a year of greatness followed by years of mediocre to terrible play.
