Thank god for Alabama and Kentucky
But football and basketball is a damn embarassment for a power five conference

This league has been top heavy for a lot of years. The problem is that the underling schools insist on pretending to be relevant. This is at best a 3 team league.

At best a three team league right now (Bama, Auburn, UF). At worst a one team league. You don't need me to fill in the blank.

Next round of coaching hires will be important. VOLS, Arkansas, Ole Miss, aTm, and possibly Auburn, LSU, and Florida will have new HC's 2-3 years time.

This is the worst the conference has been at Football since I can remember outside the top team. Just pitiful.

As long as this league continues to make uninspiring hires like YawYaw, muschamp, smart, odom, etc. it's going to suck.
Look at the hires historically crappy programs Purdue and Baylor made this offseason?... or Va Tech last year? They hired coaches who have actually accomplished something as head coaches at smaller programs (not failure HCs who cruit gooder... or a guy who didnt choose his shirt color without Sabans permission).
Bielema has been a disaster, but at least ark hired a guy who was successful somewhere... their mistake was giving him a massive raise/extension for mediocrity.

Football will be back pretty quickly. It's expected and demanded. LSU hiring Orgeron was a pretty big kick in the conferences nuts though.

Auburn isn't what it can be... Gus will have his shot in 2017 to prove if he's capable. He's also got a great shot Monday on a big stage.
With that said, AU is the last program to win the conference outside bama... there's plenty of blame to go around.
