No they don't

That's just patently untrue

I hate that narrative

Wasn't it always speculated that Ole Miss was the school this article is talking about?

Ole Miss exceeded the SEC salary cap and got caught.

IF everyone does it...most don't make it as obvious as Ole Miss. C'mon they went from recruiting nobodies to top classes overnight virtually. As if that would go unnoticed.

Hugh Freeze is the only one who dared people to turn him in.

Ok, so years ago, a kid worked for me and his dad was president of the LSU TAF and he told me things I will not repeat, but trust me...it happened and still does. Freeze got busted for being stupid.

This and the fact they forgot to tell the players to keep it on the downlow when they're on National TV...

When I was in school, I would drive by the Athletes dorm and wonder why the ratio of nice, expensive cars was so much higher there?

Many variables contributed to OM getting busted; Freeze being stupid was probably the least of those.
The low intelligence of the athletes they paid was a factor.
Insecurity/desperately wanting to prove that they're "worthy" and not just a smallish state school in Mississippi was yet another reason.
Nasty recruiting was in the mix too.

The whole deal will likely end up as a Netflix movie.

Why are you OM fans still looking for justification for your program cheating to achieve mediocre results? Are you that far in denial?

Not everybody does it. Cheaters do it. Scammers do it. People that feel entitled do it. People that think they are better than everyone else so the laws dont apply to them do it. Sound like any of your friends?

Freeze went too hard too fast. He didn't bother to make it believable. Load up on some guys that are actually realistic for OM to get, have a couple 9-3 type seasons, then swing for the fences. 3 waaay out of state 5* guys the very first year want to come to 2-10 Ole Miss without being paid? Hugh, no one was ever going to buy that being real. God he just had no self control.

Auburn quit 25 years ago. The NCAA praised Auburn for how clean and by the book AU are. Auburn is the shining light in the darkness that is the example everybody should follow. All programs should look at Auburn and set their goal to strive to be as clean as Auburn.
