This story is now actually finally starting to get some traction beyond just Bama fans complaining.

For the past 4 years, Alabama has been almost at the bottom in opponent's penalties called

In 2014 Alabama was 123 out of 130.
In 2015 Alabama was 102 out of 130.
In 2016 Alabama was 130 out of 130.
Thus far in 2017 Alabama in 130 out of 130.

We aren't talking about slightly below average here, were are talking dead last in the entire country for damn near 4 straight seasons.

It's nothing nefarious going on IMO. It's just clear that the refs are subconsciously feeling bad for Alabama's opponents and are more willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Maybe players are just extra careful not to catch a flag against Bama

Less overall penalties.

Always a penalty on a big play.

I love that you guys invented this narrative when the actual proof turned against you. No one is buying it.

This premise is bullshite. It's entirely backwards.

What happens is the refs just don't call penalties at all during Bama games. Bama actually benefits because they have superior talent.

frickin Bama fans aren't happy enough just winning titles every year. They gotta complain about refs while doing it. Meanwhile everybody with a set of eyes to watch an Alabama game knows damn well the refs will do whatever it takes to protect them.

do you have a link for this?

if this is true (and I tend to think it is); then you are probably right

refs see game getting out of hand & let more slide for teas playing the Tide

not a big surprise that it happens

something for UGA to look forward to I guess...

Also last in opponent holding penalties. We consistently have the best front 7 in the country, yet our opponents never hold? bullshite

Bama is actually 7th in the conference in terms of penalties. They get penalties called on them at a rate more than AU, SC, Tenn, A&M, Vandy, and Arky. All of those teams are called for fewer penalties per game than Bama is.

Wanna try another narrative that will be proven wrong, or are you just willing to accept that the reason Bama wins is because they have better players and better coaches than you team?

There is no pattern or bias. There's just a bunch of dudes watching a game who sometimes make the right call sometimes don't.

Oh wait, I'm doing this wrong

THERE'S A CLEAR BIAS AGAINST MY TEAM AND A CLEAR BIAS FOR THE OTHER TEAM

Just trying to make it a little even for not calling holding on Bama every play.

Actually it's horse shite. They do call penalties against Alabama. For you Auburn fans that like sucking these LSU fans off for said conspiracy guess who is 120/121. That's right Alabama 121 Auburn 120. I think what happens is in order to counter any perceived notion of unfairness, teams in Alabama are more harshly penalized than their opponents. I don't think it's intentional just more of a human nature thing. People in Louisiana though don't get it because they're always looking for an excuse or a reason to feel slighted. Whether it's sports or anything else. They have a victim mentality in this state like no other.

Well, he said that so I don't think he would have a problem accepting that.

That's because if the refs started calling penalties on the opponents, then they'd have to start calling holding on Bama every play too. Saban would rather no calls if that were the case.
