Southern Lab head football coach Marcus Randall, and former QB for Saban, fired and the school has to vacate two state championship titles for 2016 & 2015. After investigation into the school:

quote:

Violations included:
• Providing payments or other inducements to student/athletes that other athletes/students did not receive was the third violation.

What does this do to the amateur status of Bama LB that was on the Southern Lab team last two years?

Did I miss the part where Chris Allen was mentioned?

Who's to say Allen wasn't one of the other athletes/students that did not receive anything, therefore making it a violation?

You might just want to delete this thread entirely.

It has nothing to do with the REC.

From your own link:

quote:

Original story

Friendship Capitol fired first-year football coach/athletic director Corey Brownfield, and the move apparently triggered a domino effect that affects one of the area’s most storied programs, Southern Lab.

A news conference that will involve LHSAA and Southern Lab officials is set for 4:30 p.m., according to a communication from LHSAA executive director Eddie Bonine.

Southern Lab has won the past two LHSAA Division IV select football titles and was the runner-up in 2014. The Kittens were the Class 1A boys basketball runner-up in 2015 and Division IV select runner-up last spring.

Brownfield previously served as director of the Southern Lab School Foundation, where he worked as a liaison to the community who reached out to schools ranging from preschool to middle school in an effort to boost SLHS’ enrollment.

A former Southern Lab and Grambling athlete, Brownfield also was an assistant football coach for the Kittens for a portion of his time at the school that ended in 2015-16. First-year Southern Lab Director Herman Brister Jr. also confirmed an announcement was pending.

Brownfield said he has not been contacted by the LHSAA. He issued a statement that mentioned Bonine after retaining legal counsel.

“I was called into the (Capitol) Principal, Mr. Robert Lang’s, office yesterday. He stated that he was letting me go due to some allegations he found out from Mr. Eddie Bonine,” Brownfield said. “He said he got a call from Mr. Eddie Bonine, and he said he thought it would be in the school’s best interest if they let me go. I asked him why, and he said the association would contact me. Right now, I’m trying to find out what’s going on.”

Delete this fricking bullshite.

Nah. Just googled Chris Allen, Alabama, car, and a Mercedes dealership add popped up.

Chargers are so before Saban opened the dealership.

Just kidding.

Coach recruits to get better players for his high school team.

LSU poster somehow ties it to Alabama and the NCAA.

Yep. Checks out.

good ole LSU fans. Leave LA and they will turn on you with the quickness. had Allen gone to LSU we'd be hearing how this is a non-story, but since he went to Bama LSU fans are gonna tell us how this is a huge story.

The story even says the guy responsible for this was recruiting preschoolers to middle schoolers to attend Southern Lab.

It only involves the stripping of football titles because the guy was an assistant coach on the team.

So, a life-long Louisianan lost his job for corruption?

The only surprise here is that he was fired rather than promoted. Just more trash from the swamps.

So a former Saban player, who coaches a highly sought after Bama recruit, is fired for providing impermissible benefits to his players including payments while said player was under his control, and it doesn't seem fishy?

Still under investigation......
