The Reason Les Miles is being fired.

He overachieved with a young team.
This was not supposed to be "the year." Even though we were picked to finish 5th in the west, we came out the gates blazing.p:
--Only undefeated team in the SEC after 8 games
--Improving QB play..A FIRST for LSU
--Heisman front-runner...A FIRST in 60 years.
These kinda things play right into the minds of our delusional/hallucinogenic fan base that will post and dream all manner of glorious deeds, and over-look all our faults...and the fact that our tough games are on the back-end.
Les would've been better off starting 4-3

Miles is the reason Miles is leaving LSU. It's really that simple.

I absolutely like Miles as a person; he's a funny guy. But I would guess at least part of the reason is the man seems incapable of putting together a coherent sentence during interviews. Communication is an important part of almost any job including being a HC.

He's being fired because he is not a good coach. He can recruit. He can't even form a sentence. His offense played out in the early 90's and the fans have secretly hated him for a long time.
