It's very clear yet people seem to not accept the very clear reality.

You can't beat Bama with a pro style offense anymore. It's near impossible. Since 9 6 he has destroyed almost every pro style team. Good ones too. ND had a good team. Michigan state was good. Lsu has been good.

I would bet Saban doesn't lose to a pro style offense again. If you huddle and let him sub even, he beats you.

But... He will lose still to no huddle spread teams.

Including Clemson. I am calling it. Clemson is a very good team. They can do enough to slow down Bama and their offense is explosive. It's happening.

Clemson is good. They really are. They do indeed sport the most dynamic QB in college football. BUT, they will not find much success against this defense. This game is going to get ugly. I sincerely hope Watson isn't forced to run into the teeth of the Bama front, he's too small. Clemson is fools gold from the acc.

I completely agree with your analysis...but not your prediction. "He will lose still to no huddle spread teams."...occasionally yes, but only when rare situations occur....he's got his team's complete attention and focus on this one.

ND did not have a pro style offense in 2012...they were a spread team and Everett Golson was a dual threat QB...Brian Kelly has been running a spread offense just 'bout everywhere he's coached...

Clemson does run no huddle. Sometimes. But to call them a spread team that is exclusively no huddle is being generous at best and a downright idiot at worst.

They still play a ball possession game and run a very similar offense to Alabama with tons of short plays, straight ahead runs, bubble screens, slants and play-action bombs. Alabama and Clemson are more similar than different on offense.

Clemson is top 15 in time of possession per game. They like to control the clock and gain yardage short. Just like Alabama, who is top 3.

In plenty of scenarios Alabama and Clemson actually have the same amount or Alabama has more plays of 10+ yards. This includes vs. FBS winning opponents, vs. non-conference opponents, and vs. ranked teams. And this is using yards for 10+ per game as well.

People like to throw out the word spread just because they think a team isn't running Power-I and they have a QB who can make throws. OH NOES IT'S A SPREAD OFFENSE/AIR RAID/DUAL THREAT QB WHO WILL DESTROY ALABAMA CAUSE I'VE HEARD THIS BEFORE!!!!!!

The true reality? Clemson has a VERY similar system to Alabama except they have more designed QB runs. That's about it. And they're damn good at it. I just wish some people would understand football and stop spouting shite they don't know.

Mock it.

But bump it when Lsu and Arkansas talk trash next year. Clearly it isn't said enough. Bama is just better than any pro style but Clemson is a bad match up. Bama obviously can win. I just like Clemson here
