One loss and these guys start coming out of the woodwork.
I mean c'mon! Objectively, do you not expect a program - ANY PROGRAM - not to have a few snafus when switching out the head coaching staff? Does everyone think Larry Coker is the norm around here?
And Danny Etling is not a SEC caliber QB. I'm sorry, he's not. Just like Florida's Luke Del Rio (who isn't playing I might add). He's okay, but he isn't winning the game for you.
Give O a chance.

Yeah, LSU fans...it's not like he has already completely failed at school in your own division!!!

He must be injured then. I was told that was the problem last year.

What new LSU coach has ever lost by so much to Miss St?
Case closed.

So was Appleby. And the only SEC QB he could beat was Etling.

This has me thinking. What exactly is an SEC QB? It's not like the SEC produces great QBs at a high level. Maybe they are SEC QBs, and SEC QBs just happen to be terrible, on average.

SEC QBs are defined by their ability to handle the defenses they face, I'd say. A QB who can't handle the inevitable pressure, deal with athletic coverage, or stay calm enough to go through his progressions isn't going to do well in this conference.

It was pretty obvious that a meltdown would happen the first time O lost a game he wasn't supposed to. LSU is a Top 5 job and they settled for him. LSU fans knew that. They also knew his actual record as a head coach was terrible, so he'd be on thin ice with them the moment things got hairy.
Most new hires bring in an element of hope to the fans either because of their track record or of their potential. O brought neither so I don't blame LSU fans for going negative.

that's not a lot for a conference that has been around since 1932. And I'm talking right now, say over the past 10 years. Generally there are only 2 maybe 3 per year that would be viewed as anything above average nationally. We have an abundance of bad QBs every year. That's more the norm than this mythical "SEC QB" that's better than average. How many game managers are there in the conference at any given time?

Meh. There was a huge portion of the fan base that was pissed when he was hired. We had to accept it though and hope to God that his only other HC job was not an indicator of future success.
A 30 point loss later and here we are.

We tried to warn them that Orgeron was a mistake.
