The list of Spurriers "firsts" at SC and his Gamecock legacy

So, I know Spurrier's greatest success will always be what he did at UF as a player and a coach. I know his ACC title at Duke was also impressive. And I know that he never did win that SEC title here and we definitely had some low moments but I just wanted to put a list together of some of the first he did for our program. It is a circle jerk thread, any school on the list is posted to be hailing a Gamecock accomplishment and isn't meant as any dig or insult against the mentioned school. I also understand that some of these programs weren't at their highest, but it was still big for SC.
So here we go:
First win @Knoxville in 2005 and first win vs UT since 1992. (our only 2 wins in Knoxville are 2005 2011)
First win vs UF since 1936 in 2005 and first two wins in the Swamp in 2010 and 2014.
First 5 game win streak vs Clemson from 2009-2013.
First win vs #1 team in a win vs 'Bama in 2010 (ending their long winning streak and giving McElroy his first loss since high school)
First SEC-E title win and SECCG appearance.
First #1 recruit (Clowney the 2010 class I believe)
First 3 game win streak vs UGA, including largest margin of victory by a wide margin (2010-2012)
First 3 11-win seasons. (2011-2013)
First 2 top 10 finishes. (2012-2013)
First top 5 finish. (2013)
First 4 game bowl win streak (2011-2014)
Also:
All-time winningest coach here: 86
Longest home game win streak, I think the final tally was at 18 from 2011-2013.
Someone posted vs ranked opponents from 2010 - present and SC was tops from 2010-2014 in the conference.
From 2010-2013, far and away the best record head to head vs East opponents than any other East team and overall SEC record.
5 of our 8 bowl wins.
School record holders before they left: S. Rice, K. McKinnely, A. Jeffery, M. Lattimore, E. Norwood, J. Clowney. Those are the ones I can remember anyway.
So to bring the point home again. I know it's but a shadow of what he did at UF, but he turned this program around, and got the alum to donate the money required to build the facilities that will hopefully ensure some long-term success with whoever follows in his foot steps.

Is he the first SCAR HC to quit during a season?

Damn...careful what you wish for, huh?
At first I was kinda relieved that he was retiring, but now that it's really sinking in, I'm all .
