I was lucky enough to have a friend with tickets to that game. One of the 5 best games I've ever attended, up there with 1992 SECCG, national championship against Clemson, and GOTC.

Legit one of the greatest college football games of all time. People forget this, but it was a de facto national championship game as well.

Seems like that game lasted 5 hours, but I watched it in my recliner recovering from surgery and high on pain pills.

That was great game! Two very good teams.
For as good as the SEC is and so many great regular season games each season the Championships game has had it's share of duds. Florida/Bama 08, LSU/Tenn 01, the first one also ... those where pretty good games. Most others have been pretty one sided it seems.

Took my oldest son to this game. He was 8 at the time and i hope it will always be a great memory for him. such a great game.
