Props to John Chavis for getting our defense in high gear for our championship run. I was talking to a Vol yesterday and he said Chavis hates Bama and loves scheming for any game against Bama.

I did not say the Fulmer effect, I said the Chavis effect. Chavis did a great job during the decline of Fulmer.

I think that Alabama will continue its previous strategy against Chavis. Do a 180 with our playbook and pass to set up the run. I am not exactly sure Chavis's style, but from what I gather it requires a lot of man coverage with blitzes. The past two years against UT we have come out in 5 wide sets and been relatively successful.

I think the idea is that Chavis + LSU talent = better result than UT.

I would only hope that Bama would pass to set up the run. I think LSU dbs will be able to keep Bama rec. in check. I don't think LSU's D line can keep Ingram in check.

Chavis' D has only 11 sacks on the season against a horrible schedule.

They can slow him down, but cant stop him. We have to stack the box to completely hold him in check, IMO. Not sure if will though.

Mark Ingram has a career 1.2 YPC average vs LSU

Julio Jones has 1 TD in 17 games

McElroy has gingervitis

Top redzone D in the SEC. #7 Scoring in the nation.

With a D that had: New D coord, new dline coach, new LB coach, new DB coach, all new starters on the Dline, 2 new safties, and prolly had the worst LBs in the SEC last season.

We have gotten better every game. We are gelling, and its because of the coaching, it takes time with all those new variables.

lsu's biggest win was a home loss to Florida playing with a qb that was ktfo 2 weeks prior and thus ran the dive play 95 % of the time. lsu still could not win : (

So, we can take this to mean that Alabama absolutely sucks if we blitz and take down your QB several times?

Am I missing some monumental wins by Bama this year? You beat a shitty ACC team in the first game of the year and have limped by the also rans of the SEC for the past month.
