It's not fair the offense gets to have a ball but the defense doesn't. Should be 2 balls in play to make things fair.

Now that's fricking hilarious because all he talks about is "keeping it fair"

Is this your "friend's" opinion or is this really your opinion that you're conveniently passing off to another person who nobody knows about?

Not only should we stop linemen from going downfield they should enforce the pick rules and stop these receivers from pushing off so much.

Other than being able to move before the snap all the advantages go to the offense.

They can move before snap...it's called motion. An underutilized tool that can diagnose the coverage type in some cases by Defense's reaction

The A-11 offense is an offensive scheme that has been used in some levels of amateurAmerican football. In this offense, a loophole in the rules governing kicking formations is used to disguise which offensive players would be eligible to receive a pass for any given play.

Tell your friend to play you 1 vs 1 tackle football on a full size field. Make him play defense and see if he can keep you out of the end zone

Hahaha exactly and he continues to think that the defense has the advantage.

Not really but fine, I'll play a long. Yes, I believe that the defense has all the advantages and I believe that linemen should be able to run and block as far downfield as they want to. I think that would be great for the game. I think all the rules are made to help the defense when the game is already 11-on-11 and everyone should just cover their man. Would this be good for college football or not? Please explain.

We are referring to the ineligible receiver downfield on pass plays. You know, the rule?

he didn't say anything about pass plays in the OP subject..

anyway the post was so lame I couldn't really see what he was saying.

If you start letting 300 pound plus guys go downfield and set a pick on a 190 kid imagine the head injury problems we have now and what it would be like then..

so much stupid ideas!

Yea that was my bad. I guess I could have explained it better.
