Incredible Herbie is so gifted he gives out best player awards preseason. I havnt seen an SEC player yet. Nvm, LF from LSU just got mentioned

Herbie's driving force is ratings, not being right. He(and espn in general) have been criticised for over hyping the SEC. I think he is over compensating.

I like Herbie. He's not always right, but he at least seems genuine and more interested in real discussion instead of being over the top and ridiculous. Even if giving out these awards is silly.

Jamal Adams won something as well. Herbstreit uses this to highlight the players from the teams he thinks are ones to watch out for this year. At least, that's what I got out of it.
