He says he almost took the Tennessee job because he didn't like the idea of playing FSU and Mississippi State in OOC games.

Now that I think of it, if he was scared of the Mississippi State, maybe the Vols dodged a big bullet....

Yep, he obviously checked UT's OOC schedule for next year and saw the trip to Autzen which changed his mind.

Yes, with neutral-site games against Mississippi State in 2013 and Florida State in 2014 on the OSU schedule, Gundy almost went to Tennessee to avoid those contests.

Why leave one dumpster fire for another if playing Ms.state has the potential to ruin your season, your program is a dumpster fire...

Gundy scared. He didn't want any part of Bama or LSU in 2011.

Gundy is young but he's a good coach. He's already proven he can be more successful at a school than les miles.

Tenn needs a MAN to run their program. Would have been a good hire. Good job, Grinders.

If he is scared of State, then the rest of the SEC would have made him shite himself.

Les built OSU from the ground up. Look where OSU was before he got there and look where OSU was after.

It is amusing how much time the Arky trolls spend thinking about LSU.

Honestly I spend time thinking about OSU more than I do LSU, I don't even know how LSU got brought up in a thread about OSU's coach and the Vols.

The year before: 3-8
The year after: 4-7

He really built their program up, huge one game improvement.
