The essence of CFB....

The LSU/Bama game tonight was, imo, what is best about CFB. It was a hyped game against 2 heavyweights. It was a late game so the tension built all day and then you had the best stadium for CFB in the country overflowing by about 1000 people (it seats 92,542 currently and tonight's attendance was 93,374), and loud as all hell. THe game didn't disappoint either (just hurt for us LSU fans). I heard all week, people saying our stadium was no different, all stadiums are loud, etc.
"People always ask me what the loudest stadium is," [Barrett]Jones said. "It's not close. It's this one." It was the perfect SEC atmosphere, from the LSU tailgaters who crafted a scale model of a dead elephant out of pork skins and pork tenderloin (for the trunk, of course) to the female Alabama student who wore a sundress festooned with a sticker advertising her sorority and a button that read "MAKE HIS arse QUIT."

For those who have never been, I would highly recommend making the road trip to BR. Tiger Stadium is truly a gem of CFB. Sites and experiences like tonight are why no other sport will ever come close to generating the passion that this sport does and these two respective teams do. Truly awesome experience.

LSU just became my second favorite SEC school after thisg weekend. My experience was great, from the tailgates to the lsu campus. and i would have felt the same way had we lost.

I really couldn't agree more. For the most part, the recent games will define this series for the ages and last night will be an all-time classic.
