"We’re going to watch film. We’re going to pick up tendencies, stuff like that. I've never done it this way."

-O-lineman Clapp

"I think it’s going to help us more just because we’re going to know more about who we're going against and more about our opponent.”

-O-lineman Malone

So, it is proof we did not gameplan for weakness, we simply ran the same damn stubborn plays no matter what.

Amazing for a 2016 coach

There wa sno doubting Les was stuck in his old ways. Love the guy but man was it time for a change. You cant get paid 4.3 mil a year to not change with the times.

Is he serious? He never watched film on the other team? I just can't believe that.

Two separate offensive players said they did not watch film to pick up other teams weaknesses and tendencies.

Do yall now realize why we fired him?

It is clear he is going to run the same plays no matter what. Hell, as a Bama fan how is that not obvious? He chooses to run up the middle on yall

Since when did old ways involve not watching film of your opponent? Miles didn't start coaching 50 years ago.

Sounds like none of the team did unless they did it on their own time after practice.....

I have to believe these quotes are taken out of context. No way they aren't watching film.

Les has basically admitted this is what he does. His philosophy was to perfect his power run, and if he did people couldnt stop it. He has said he is not about planning for specific teams

Nope. They watch film on their own play, but 100% it looks clear we dont watch to pick up other teams weaknesses. Is it not clear to yall we run the same offense no matter who we play?

I've watched enough LSU games to be able to believe it

I don't think the players didn't watch film.

I think the change they are referring to is watching film to figure out how to exploit a defense's weakness.

There's pretty tangible evidence we never did that considering, as another poster mentioned, we played the same against every team - even trying multiple games to run against Bama with a clearly outmatched line.

It seems pretty obvious. When we play Bama we run the same exact plays and offense as when we play Ole Miss, which are two completely opposite teams with different weaknesses

Winner. Shitty reporting plain and simple. It's most likely referring to watching and identifying opposing team's different weaknesses. Watching game film isn't something that started this millennium. For frick's sake.

Cam Cameron was a NFL OC. I just can't believe that. Who doesn't watch film on opponents for game prep, do quality control on bye weeks, etc.?

Well one way to perfect it is to watch film and figure out the weak areas of your opponent's defense.

Dude you are kinda being an idiot. It is pretty obvious they are saying they did not watch film to pick up teams weaknesses. Not sure how that can be taken out of context
