Only teams that benefit from that are Alabama and TAMU.
If Alabama runs the table through the SECCG as well as TAMU, there's a possibility A&M may still make it to the playoff just based on the fact their only loss was to one of the greatest teams in the past 25 years if the performance of Bama remains consistent.

If Bama beats A&M in a TIGHT game, it would take a number of big breaks for A&M to get in.

OSU would have to lose along with Michigan, and Clemson. They would all three have to be embarrassing losses.
Then A&M would at best get a 4 seet to the CFP and they would likely play Alabama at a (1) again.
I suppose it COULD happen but it's not likely at all.
Only 1 SEC team is getting into the CFP this year.

The rest of the country got pissed about the LSU/Bama rematch. It was one of several blows that killed the bcs. Such as an undefeated SEC team that got left out in 04(Auburn), and undefeated mid majors as well in some years. The playoff format is designed to where it is possible for 2 teams from the same conference to get in, but highly unlikely.

I said if they keep on their be current page of beating teams by 2.5-5 touchdowns, that would be the case. Was a hypothetical and nothing more.
