There has been 6 CFP games and only 1 of them was really interesting.

2014
2. Oregon 59
3. Florida State 20

1. Alabama 35
4. Ohio State 42

2015
1. Clemson 37
4. Oklahoma 17

2. Alabama 38
3. Michigan State 0

2016
1. Alabama 24
2. Washington 7

2. Clemson 31
3. Ohio State 0

The only game that was still interesting in the 4th qtr was Bama-OSU

The margin of victory has been 39, 7, 20, 38, 17, 31.

Does NCG not count?

FWIW, the FSU/Oregon game was pretty damn funny.

No, because it would have happened under the BCS era anyway.

Only last year. 2014 would have been Bama-Florida St, this year would have been Bama-Ohio St

Yep, we finally get the playoff everyone said we needed and it's been completely useless every time.

It's been pretty damn lame to be honest. Is going to 6 or 8 or more the answer?

4 team playoff isn't enough, should be at least 8, Ideally 16.

Injecting some mids into the playoff like WMU (Assuming we do indeed go to 16 teams) would make for good stories and potentially better football. The WMU/Wisky game was pretty good.

An 8-4 team has no business being in the running for the NC...

Besides Bama/Ohio State in 2014, at least Oklahoma won the first half vs. Clemson in 2015; lead 17-16 at break. But yeah, valid point otherwise.

OU Clemson was a great game for 3 quarters. FSU Oregon was good for the first 2 1/2

how would it make for better football with the #16 team playing the #1 team? It would be a bloodbath even more so than it's been

2014: Bama/OSU was a great game and the NC was a good game. Without the playoffs, the best team would have not had a chance to earn a NC.

2015: NC was one of the best games of all time. It's even more so one of the best games of all time because the "championship" is more credible having come out of a playoff.

2016: Probably will be the same story as 2015.

It hasn't been useless at all, considering the point was to take deserving teams and not to be the most entertaining for fans.

Then they wont win a NC, that's the point of the playoff in case you forgot.

It absolutely does not need to be more than four teams.
