Proving yet again why they are the Boise St. of NCAAB. I think Zags will squeak this out but they'll get demolished in the next round like they do every year. Why? Bc they play in a shite conference and they are the freaking Boise St of NCAAB. It's laughable that this team is a 1 seed and UK is a 2.

They lost in the Sweet 16 last year as an 11 seed and the year before that they made it to the Elite 8.
Also, wrong board.
eta: also, Boise St. has generally proven their worth in big games.

Boise St has always won when they get invited to big bowls or play against good competition though

Exactly. There's nothing wrong with making the sweet 16 and an elite 8 once every 10 years. And you realize being a top seed by playing in a shite conference makes a path to the sweet 16 pretty easy?

Boise has won more bowl games than LSU since 2010.

Boise is some 3-0 in the Fiesta Bowl, they've only played 3 NY6 type games

They've beat Arizona, Florida and Iowa State already this year.

The difference between the two is that Gonzaga is actually a decent school making the most of what talent they can attract. Boise State is a poor-to-mediocre school that has a surprising amount of talent because they attract recruits who have the ability but whose poor scores and academic credentials mean they would struggle at better schools. Boise State is practically a D1 JUCO
