It's depressing how far Tennessee has fallen.

Yes. They have 10 AP poll championships which is what this is tracking.

Florida has really made up some ground over the last few decades. Y'all used to be an SEC doormat and now you are sitting pretty in the top ten.

I have a hard time accepting that a team with 5 national titles is ahead of a team with 10 national titles because they were "ranked #1 at some point" more times.

Maybe that means more if the national title difference is 1-2, but 5? As an example, Oklahoma (7) and Notre Dame (8) are close enough in national titles that I can understand weighting the others and them popping out on top.

The #1 program in CFB History has half as many national titles as #4, three less than #3 and 2 less than #2. Doesn't seem to make sense.

Yes. Alabama only has 10 AP titles. The others are UPI/coaches. Or predate the poll era. 1941, Nonwithstanding.

Bama #4 in what? They are #1 in college football history.

The AP weighs weeks ranked #1 very heavily. Alabama is fifth in total weeks ranked at #1.

Are we sure this was updated? It still has Clemson with 1 national title in 1981.

It's not. It has Alabama being ranked 43 weeks at #1 under Saban. It's closer to 60 now.
