Depending on what the AP does, of course.

If Alabama and FSU are pre-season ranked #1 and #2 (like many expect them to be), it would be the first time in college football history that #1 and #2 met in the opening weekend of the season.

Yes. Let's overhype a game that Alabama will win by 30+ points. Great idea.

And I'm currently refusing to go because tickets are $450 and the scalper tix are nonexistent in Atlanta

You have to go back to 1990 when #1 Miami was upset by #16 BYU.

It actually happened quite frequently in the 1980s. 1989 Michigan lost its opener to Notre Dame, 1988 Florida State lost its opener to Miami, 1984 Auburn lost its opener to Miami, and 1981 Michigan lost its opener to Wisconsin.

That's a more interesting answer than I expected.

Sounds like we're due.

The world would stop rotating if Alabama decided to cancel their football program. The world would end it's so important. It's likely a black hole would gobble up the Milky Way galaxy if the Tide didn't play another game.

No but really though.....frick Alabama

The Mercedes Benz Superdome is in New Orleans...
Too bad Atlanta couldn't have gotten a different sponsor
