Yet you'll end up keeping only about $1 million just like last year.

Not even top 20 in AD profit.

AJ McCarron has more national titles than Auburn.

Any more questions?

Alabama has the highest expenses of any college football team at $51 million. That is the reason they aren't more profitable is they put more back into. They also have the highest coaches payroll at 12 million

Football programs don't give dividends. You don't want them hording revenues, you want them to spend them on things that help you win while keeping a healthy net asset balance going forward.

How can such a lucrative program finish with back to back losing records and fail to make a bowl game this year? You have your own ESPN network for frick's sake. My gosh.

All these lists are total bullshite. I got proof.

quote:

Hart indicated the athletic department's reserve fund, though it remains the lowest in the conference, is up to $10 million, from less than $2 million just a couple of years ago.

The SEC Network payout has given Tennessee some breathing space, and the Vols may use to reward their head football coach and his coaching staff, which got a collective $250,000 raise as part of Jones's new deal last December.

LINK

So basically Alabama has given them "breathing space" because without football (we're the Mecca) there would be no SEC network.

Bear Bryant has been quoted as saying that Robert Neyland was his biggest influence and role model for being a football coach.
