The last 12 months have been very difficult for me, to the point where I became concerned with my mental health. Because of this I am 1/3
going to step away from the game at this time. I thank the Alouettes for this opportunity and hope to be back on the field soon. Thank 2/3

I remember when Tebow was on the Broncos ESPN ran a video of Denver fans and what they think of him. It went on to a girl who said that he seems like a nice guy but she wishes he wouldnt be so straightforward about his beliefs. I can't imagine the shitstorm that would ensue if you replace Tebow with Sam in that story

You're welcome. Drama follows this kind of story. And it's darn thick. The guy could play SEC level FB with good coaching. This "story" is just an indication of what's happening in our country. We just happened to have the first player. It could have been your team too.

Is it really 2015 and people still believe it's wrong to be gay?

In reality, in the U.S. the vast majority is from "gay" sex. Worldwide 39 million have died from AIDS. It's no game. 13,712 people with an AIDS diagnosis died in 2012 in the U.S. 12,765 people in the U.S. died from gun homicides in 2012. Do you see where I'm going here?

Sounds like he was about to get cut from the minors and didn't want to lose the narrative that he didn't make it in the NFL only because he is gay.
