You will be missed. Thank you for making us a relevant program for a while. I hope you do well in everything you do from here on out.

I'd be lying if I said I don't feel somewhat sad about his retiring, but it's time. Let's just pray that we don't end up getting another Brad Scott kinda guy. He made Bert look ripped.

A true eccentric Southerner. The guy who whipped you at golf, ping-pong, cornhole, whatever...then quipped about it for weeks.

He is the last of the Mohican's. I'm a Dawg fan and I love the guy.

Others may not agree, but imo you can thank SOS for the current dominance and reputation of the SEC. He is one of the top 5 college coaches of all time....literally changed the way the game is played in the nations toughest conference. I'd drink brown liqure with him any day.

Spurrier was the man. Always respected him for speaking his mind and being a smartass. Like a Rex Ryan that could back it up

Steve will be missed, but he deserves this retirement. Much respect.

It's sad when one of the greats decides to hang it up. The guy epitomizes college football and everything that's good about it. He will be missed.

A natural for Game Day...no one tells it like it is like Spurrier. He will be missed!

Have always been a big fan. Innovative, competitive to a fault, outspoken, and a true character. College football's loss.

What a great man! I liked everything about him. A true gamer and gentleman. He could back-up his bull...not many can. I'll flat miss him. I'm glad I got to see one of his last games. Thanks from all the Mizzou fans to the great HBC.

Side note: During the USCe and Mizzou game a couple of weeks ago, Mizzou had a 50 Year Tribute to our 1965 team. Mizzou played Florida in the Sugar Bowl that year against Spurrier and his Gators. Think about that...50 years ago. Florida went for "2" on three different attempts in the game. Mizzou stopped each attempt and won. Despite playing on the losing team, Spurrier was named Sugar Bowl MVP. Stud!

Heisman = Spurrier
