is turning out to be 100 Years a Slave.

Mike Sherman left them with NFL linemen, all-world QB Manziel and WR Mike Evans, but Sumlin has no idea what he's doing with his own 5* players. He's Gene Chizik without a ring.

And UT fans would take him in a heartbeat.

Yes, let's evaluate their decision with short-term thinking. Under such a circumstance as you describe, your school should have gone to the WAC years ago.

Stop focusing on A&M, and instead focus on losing weight.

You are ruining the spirit of a pretty good movie.

Actually it was 100 years ago this year that A&M left the conference that contained the following teams:

Alabama
Auburn
Georgia
Georgia Tech
Vanderbilt
Kentucky
Louisiana State
Mississippi
Mississippi State
Tulane
and Tennessee

He's a Tennesee fan, and one of the more annoying trolls.

Speaking of trolls, hows Telefaux been doing? Haven't seen HIM in a while.

I knew a couple of Aggies - really really fricking delusional. But this is the thing

Sports programs are always rising and falling. No one stays on top forever. Look at Miami, Nebraska, Manchester United, Florida etc etc

So it is conceivable that in the next 100 years, Texas A&M will have one 5 year period of total dominance where the starts align....

I dont like Aggies in general but there a few good ones...

But not many

Did anyone expect A&M to just show up and be a legitimate threat in the SEC? Maybe the Aggie fans did but those that have been around long enough to know SEC football sure didn't. Three years in and they have one... ONE... signature SEC win. So much for them making an instant impact on the conference.

But I will give them their due. The Aggies were the only school willing to stand up to Texas in the Big 12. THE ONLY SCHOOL. Told them to take their bulldog tactics and shove it. And for that, I say kudos and welcome to the SEC. The Aggies will get better as they can use the SEC as their selling point for recruiting, which has already worked wonders for them. I have faith that they will be right in the mix sooner rather than later.

Actually, no. Go back and look at the Aggie posts from during realignment. We expected to take our lumps for a few years just like most football fans, but weren't shying away from the challenge. Yeah, we got excited once we realized what Manziel could bring to the table, but what fanbase in our position wouldn't? We haven't had a Heisman winner since the 50s

This. We joined for the long haul, got an unexpected taste of some success early on, and are willing to do the work/spend the money to get there long term

What TBird said. Still need to field a defense to compete though.

Auburn is the game that will determine the season. Win, and the team will have momentum to finish strong. We may not win, but the coaches will be judged on how we play in that game. No more lack of effort BS.
