Sherman recruited Johnny Manizel, Michael Evans, and that Aggie/NFL offensive line that Sumlin is failing miserable at replacing.
Seems like neither Sherman or Sumlin can really coach but one is clearly better than the other at recognizing talent.

Sherman was a good coach and good recruiter. His only drawback was he called an overly conservative game. Sumlin was the right person for that time. 11-2 first season in the SEC was good.
