Should be an awesome game. Can't wait to Cam Robinson and Myles Garret go at it again.

There's no doubt about it, I am certifiably insane.

Every once in a while, I stop by the Rant, I see a thread that looks potentially interesting, and I click on it hoping for, perhaps, just a bit of football discussion, instead of the same non-stop, sophomoric, unoriginal and tragically boring insult-fest. This entire site is a collection of juveniles parroting the equivalent of "I know you are, but what am I?"

Yet like some kind of pathetic addict, here I am again thinking it might be different.

Shoot me.

And as far as the game is concerned, A&M is exceedingly vulnerable trying to defend a good passer with a zone, and just doesn't have the speed or length at corner to man up unless we're getting constant pressure on the QB, so unless that situation changes significantly between now and then, beating Bama in Tuscaloosa is a tall, tall order.

We will move the ball, we will score some points, and we will offer a little more resistance to Bama's rushing game than we have the last few years. But unless Knight plays one of the best games of his life, is better-than-usual with his accuracy, and the young offensive line can consistently get him a couple of seconds, our chances look really slim to me.

But I do believe A&M will be a more complete team than we've been since 2012, and we will have a puncher's chance.

But Bama is Bama.

You are right about this. It does take an accurate qb to beat Bama. The bad news for aTm is few qb's have done it these past few year. The good news for aTm is Knight is one of them.

Enjoyed the post. Glad to hear an honest appraisal of the state of the RANT most of the time. Discussions usually consist of insults piled on top of insults. Describing it as Sophomoric is being generous and kind.

I like to hear what other fans of other teams have to say about their teams and college football in general. On the other end of the spectrum there are too many sites that are for homers only. Objective debate is outright banned.

Maybe someone will read your original post and offer an interesting reply with a fresh perspective without childish insults or boring homerism.

I agree A&M would have to play their best game and get lucky to beat Alabama - but stranger things have happened and this season has been full of surprises. Alabama is more talented and should prevail. The biggest surprise of the last few years is that Alabama can win high scoring games. That wasn't the case a few years ago. Saban has kept up with the innovations and his offenses are scoring machines if they have to be.

There are several games to be played before this one.

Why is there even speculation about this game already?

Bama's deep passing game.

Sean White: 64/97, 65.98%, 744yds, 7.67ypa, 3 TD, 1 Int
Jalen Hurts: 64/102, 62.75%, 727yds, 7.13ypa, 5 TD, 1 Int

Sean White gets shite on on this board and Hurts gets love on this board.

If A&M can stuff the run and force Hurts to have to beat them passing against A&M's pass rush, I see A&M winning the game by at least 1 TD.

Have two tickets to this game and noticed seats in the same section are listed at $700 each. My early thoughts are whether or not I should cash in now or hold off for a couple of weeks. Or go and enjoy a good game.

Too bad i have to go to work soon or i'll compare Hurts red zone stats to White's. Do you think Sean White can engineer a 21 point come back against Ole Miss? You are kidding yourself if you think he can. I am not sure White can put enough drives together to engineer 7 field goals, while three td's down. At 18 years old Hurts has ten times the command and poise that White has. When was the last time White had a 146 yards rushing game? Auburn should be flagged for delay of game when White scrambles.

What the frick does the redzone or QB rushing yards have to do with what I responded to which was someone talking about Bama's deep passing game? shite, 28 of Hurts completions and 287 of his yards came against WKU for God's sake.

You were crying about the love gives a good qb like Hurts and why an awful loser like White doesn't get any love. So I told you why.

Things that have worked against Saban before have a way of working again. Unless, something has changed. The differences in the Trevor Knight (OU version) to this one are 2 main things. One, we did not have a very good pass rush in 2013. We were more built to stop the run. Our front 7 averages about 20 lbs lighter and we have 3 pass rushers that will go high in the NFL draft. And 2, we were not playing for a NC. All hopes had been dashed at that point. Of course TAMU 2016 is not OU 2013 either and Trevor could be/should be even better than he was that night 2.5 years ago. But, if he expects to have as much time to throw as he did then he's living in the past. He'll be lucky to have 2 full seconds to get rid of the ball. We will push the pocket, run cover 2 man-to-man, and have a spy on his arse if he wants to run it. My guess 37-17
