Just curious. Since Vic Schaefer's alma mater is aTm, why didn't you guys hire him as head coach? Not that your current coach isn't winning but most programs seem to want one of their own.

Vic is the "coach in waiting".
Gary Blair will be 72 at the end of this season. He deserves to stay as long as he wishes. He built the program to what it is today.
Vic will get the call as soon as Gary decides it is time to go.

you realize blair made vic into who he is and we havent had a job opening in 15 years? the question should be, when will blair retire and i hope soon.
im sure MSU will pay VS but this is womens hoops and his alma mater we are talking about. if he wants to leave it wont be about money.

We have a much better women's basketball program though.
