Meh, I'm more concerned with who we hire but it's an impressive get anyway (if true)

He and his wife are supposed to be in town next week. Has agreed in principal to the job as long as they like what they see when they get here...or so multiple outlets are now reporting.
Once that ink dries I'm gonna be all over this site telling every one of you that doubted and said he'd never come to SCAR to SUCK IT HATERS!!!! (looking hard at you, Mizzou)

No idea how reliable this site is, but if true that's a big hire. Impressive to lock onto one guy and actually end up getting him.
LINK
It's Kornblut and his bitch kmac and all they are doing is reading the insider boards including this one.

What would you expect him to say, Quintana? This wasn't supposed to be mainstream....the guy and his wife still have to come to Cola and "like what they see". Be kinda embarrassing if he voluntarily made it public then was like "oh..well, they thought Cola was..errr....not what they expected..."
Way too many loose lips to keep this kinda shite quiet in this small of a place.

Ha, now Tanner says it's absolutely not true.
I love coaching searches!

Which he has to say otherwise there are all sorts of etiquette issues involved ... not to mention repercussions.
I would think a Mizzou fan, one who suffered through the humiliation of Frank Haith packing his bags in the middle of the night and leaving while texting his AD that he was gone ... I would think a Mizzou fan, even one completely obsessed with this SCAR hire, would understand certain nuances in the modern coaching hire world.
Allow me to remind you how it's done, by the pros, with this link ... How to hire a coach these days - USA Today - Mizzou's ineptitude noted in the article.
quote:
Search firms do everything from chartering planes to see candidates, sitting in on and participating in interviews and thoroughly digging through candidates' backgrounds. All of it is done very quickly and discreetly. As Hughes put it, "There's a lot of cloak and dagger involved in the process."
"Coaches have to protect themselves," Larranaga said. "If it's perceived that (a coach is) trying to get out of his present position, that doesn't make him look good with his administration, his alumni. That puts a lot of pressure on him if he doesn't get that job and ends up staying."
Said Hyman: "People draw conclusions that if you were talking to another school, then you're disloyal and you can just put a nail in your coffin at that particular school."
Social media has exacerbated this aspect of the hiring process. Reporters now report on the amount of candidates for a job, the names of those candidates and, then, the frontrunners. Fans track planes rumored to be flying candidates, hoping their strategy to put puzzle pieces together will help them figure out who their next head coach may be.
"In today's day and age, the media is getting more, they're putting more out there. (But) the coach always has a right to say, 'You can cut it out,' or not comment."
"You can shroud it in this thing of, well, it's got to be confidential and we've got to keep this out of the press, but then the ADs go and leak who they're interviewing anyway," the VCU athletic director said. "So, to me, it's disingenuous, like you're trying to put something over on somebody else."

Damned, I hate that for you. Good luck with your next coaching prospect.

I'm not reading any of that because you are delving back into butthurt, bitch, I hate Mizzou so bad I can't see straight!!! mode like you always do.
I'll say this if there were any validity to the statement Id expect Tanner to say "I can't comment about anything specific at this time" or the like. Maybe he's a bold faced liar, IDK?
CG,
Those Twitter feeds you reference are simply parroting the original report. That's not "multiple sources" lol
