I feel like we can all agree that integration of the league changed the league and ushered in a new era. Since 1970 Tennessee is tied for 5th in the SEC for titles and 5th in winning percentage. That's a pretty decent big sample size.

No one is saying they haven't had any success in that time frame. They obviously have, but they still only have two sec titles since the title game was formed. Florida was top dog

5th in winning pct, but actually 6th in number of SEC titles since 1970.

I wasn't going to start in again on UT, but I felt compelled in this case.

Sorry.

You haven't been served with a restraining order yet have you?

Because that's how stalkerish you're being with Tennessee threads.

A thread full of true rivals hating out of respect, and "small man syndrome" fans just hating.

Missou fans trying to convince themselves out of the bottom that would see them sharted out if the SEC wanted too. UT will always be way more important nationally, and within the SEC than Mizzou. No matter what happens on the field. Ask Nike. Get over it...

I learned in this thread that Tennessee basically had two good periods in their entire history that make them all feel like they have an "elite" program.

I hate to tell you guys but no one gives a shite about the 20's, 30's or the fricking 90's.

La-De-Da.

Mizzou all time WP: .550

Mizzou's first game - 1890

UT all time WP: .679.

UT's first game 1891.

"As of November 28, 2015 Tennessee is ranked 10th all-time won-lost records by percentage and eighth by victories. The all-time record is 819-374-53 (.679). At Neyland Stadium, the Vols have a record of 454–123–17 (.779)." -wiki

Thanks for continuing to parade the irrelevance of Missouri.

yeah the win pct, wins, conference and national championships, bowls and bowl wins, all Americans, etc don't mean shite do they?

LINK

How come if we have only had 2 good periods ever, this article has us in the top 10 teams of the decade for the 30s, 40s, 60s, 90s, and 00s?

This is so much fun.

Gary Pinkel WP: .618 - Mizzou's best coach by WP.

Robert Neyland: .820

"Shortly before his death, Neyland drew up plans for a major expansion and renovation to the Vols' home stadium, Shields-Watkins Field. When he had arrived in Knoxville in 1925, Shields-Watkins Field seated only 3,200 people—barely a fraction of the capacity of Vanderbilt's Dudley Field. Reflecting the Vols' rise to national prominence under his watch, the stadium's capacity had jumped to over 46,000 seats—an over 14-fold increase—in the 36 years since then. UT renamed the stadium Neyland Stadium in his honor prior to the 1962 season, and the plans he drew up were so far ahead of their time that they have been used as the basis for every major expansion since then" -wiki

General Robert Neyland was also a knight. OBE.

Phillip Fulmer WP: .750

Johnny Majors WP: .670
