McNeil

Has come a long way under CBJ but I don't expect him to remain starter for long.

Saulsberry, has been out for ages but the jury is still out on whether he plays. I'm not counting him in BUT if he does get to play he's talented- if we can get some limited but badass reps from him, that would be a major bonus (but again I'm not counting on him playing). O'Brien is NOT average. You could argue Owens but I'm not sold there. Likely we will rotate O'brien and either McKenzie or Tuttle and Willams with other freshman and we will do that soon. DT has been improved across the board and even an eternal pessimist like you ought to see that much. So has defense. And hells bells, I'm a cynic but dayam.

As for Picou, he might crack the rotation late or in cleanup but I don't think anyone expects him to play much. He's much needed depth.

But I guess UT is always about what might happen the next season and not what actually happens in real life.

Most media experts disagree

Many media "experts" had Ole Miss picked to win the SEC West in 2009. And it's not like Tennessee is being picked because of how good they think Tennessee is going to be. It's because of how bad they think the SEC East will be.

Chase, if you're being honest Mauk didn't do any such thing. Your DL did. Also, we he had just lost AJ who was the heart of our D (the circus surrounding it was a major and emotional distraction during game prep) and our starting center -- not an excuse (still y'all won fair and square) -- but it mattered as did our injured WRs. But football is football and every team has to play with the hand its dealt regardless of what hand that might be and Mizzou played its hand well.

But Mauk didn't win that game, your DL did just like it won most of the games you won this year. No slight either - you're DL was totally badass.

You're missing the point. Y'all are acting like it's Tennessee fans saying " We're gonna be national champs" most are being very realistic.

The media is doing the hyping and most are just saying 20-25 in the rankings and could content for the East. And there are questions with every east team which is one of the reasons the experts are saying UT could win it. Which, in turn, means it wouldn't be that surprising if we took the east given our young talent and the questions with everyone else.

It's not that hard to understand.

He has all the tools to be great and in a hurry. Thank goodness, he's from Middle TN despite the JUCO listing. Between that and CBJs ability to recruit in general; landing him was a really fantastic get for us.

Y'all should get yours tho' and soon.

Excellent contribution. Not like it has zilch to do witht topic. And, not like the kid has alopecia that causes hair loss including the eyebrow and has also caused a slowly receding hairline + much that he's had to shave unless he wants to look spotted or that that particular photo is BS in how it portrays him (looks like an old tube screen style distortion, at the very least either a bad angle). Despite his big forehead he looks nothing like that.

Also, not like this hasn't already been posted.

But keep up the good work - Dobbs be on yo' mind. And there's really nothing like Gumps ripping off a Florida poster to add another layer of humor and sadness to it all.

Even so...

We got on him really late, after Chavis so it was always a longshot. We need to take several corners this year, it's definitely the position i'm most concerned about going forward. He would have made a huge difference for us this year.

Well...they should have 2 more opportunities to face each other...so this story isn't over, yet.

They get hyped up for their losing season every year! And they went out and got a offensive coordinator that hasn't coached in 2 years, they're spring game was a circus! So how are gonna know what you got on offense when you're OC hasn't coached in 2 years and hasn't been there long enough in my opinion to evaluate his players for his style of play calling?
