Tennessee hiring Jon Gruden would be one helluva shot in the arm for the conference

- World renown coach? Check
- Super personality? Check
- Impeccable resume? Check

It'd be nice to see a program in this conference hire somebody who shoots the blood into your penis instead of Saban's ex-tight end coach or a coach from the MAC/WAC/Gulf South/California Penal.

BRING. ME. THE. GRUMORS.

Also I think there is a chance it could be the most glorious train wreck of all-time.

The question is: does Gruden want to coach again, or is he happy making 7 figures just talking about football?

If it's the former, Vols have a slight chance. But I really doubt it's the former. He has had other chances, I am sure.

I just don't see it happening. So many things against it, current salary, been out of the game a long time, the long hours spent on the recruiting field vs just sitting around talking about football. I'd actually love for it to happen and see if the vols could return to a championship caliber team.

I want the conference to be interesting and fun again. Jon Gruden is interesting and fun.

This needs to happen.

What do we have to lose at this point?

Bama offered Saban an unprecedented amount of money to leave the Dolphins, we all thought you were crazy. It was a ballsy move, and it paid off tremendously.

You just want the TSIO to not be a scrimmage anymore

Nah I'm totally content winning TSIO 59-0 every season. I would like for David Ricky and Shaft to actually be excited about it so we can crush their dreams a little more often.

For the most part I just want more fun people in the conference.

Also agree.

George, I consider you to be amongst the elite of the ELITE football minds otb and you know how to internet despite your Alabama ties.

With that being said, just how fricking amazing would a TSIO featuring Saban vs Gruden iyo? My god.

Holy. Fvck. It would be amazing.

So much #footballguy oozing from both sidelines. The fvckin stadium would explode. I honestly think they might stay at midfield and talk for too long and miss the game. Those 2 would go straight Alpha on the rest of the conference immediately. Just started making rules for the conference and teaming up on everybody else.

Now ponder this:

There was a meeting in Cincinnati last Saturday between John Currie and a certain coach (Not Gruden), that had never been affiliated with Tennessee before, and a breakfast buffet might have been involved.

If you know who I'm talking about, just nod.

MTSIOGA IMO GBO

It makes me laugh when people say that Gruden would struggle with recruiting and wouldn't want to work the hours lmao.

The guy is a football junkie that still gets up and goes to his office every morning at 4 am to break down game film and also to scout college players. He will absolutely coach again imo and holy mother of god if it is at Tennessee.
