Tennessee hasn't won a bowl game since Nick Saban's first season at UA

That's just nuts. I know exactly why and how and the reasons for it and it still seems insane.

Wow, didn't realize that, probably because Miami has been in 4-5 bowl games since then and just not won them.
Tennessee has only been to what, 2 since 2007? Peach in 2009 and Music City in 2011?
Seriously crazy.

Tennessee played in a bowl following the 2009 and 2010 seasons. Miami played in bowls following the 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2013 seasons. Since the 2001 season, Tennessee has played in 7 bowl games, won 2. Miami has been to 9 and won 3. Miami has lost their last 4 bowl games. Tennessee has lost their last 2. But given where both teams were in the 2001 season going into SEC championship weekend, it's quite amazing how far both of them have fallen.

The DuBose/Fran/Price/Shula eras were basically the 400 years of silence between the Testaments.
Then the Lord sent his chosen son to rescue the Bammers from the rule of the evil ones.
It's all in the bible in black and white.

Yep. Things can come and go pretty quickly. Just amazing that Tennessee hasn't mustered one 8 or 9 win season over this stretch.
Pretty sure that will end in the next few years.

maybe fat phil should have spent less effort helping the NCAA "find" violations against Bama and paid more attention to what direction he was leading his own program.

Remember that they got screwed out of winning the Music City Bowl a few years ago.

The Bear went 0-7-1 in bowls from 1967 through 1974. For a while Bama had the label of not being able to win bowl games. So the Vols shouldn't feel too badly.
