There seems to be quite a gap between their expectations and reality since 2008. I would guess this season will be no different.

You could also substitute how relevant they think they are for expectation and how relevant they actually are for reality

Not really. It's hard to believe, but Muschamp did in fact have an 11 win season. Plus, I am pretty sure most Florida fans will tell you our expectation this year may hover around 8 wins, maybe.

Florida will be lucky to win 6
You guys have a stretch of UK, UT, OM, Mizzou, LSU, and a bye week before Georgia. Not to mention FSU at the end of the year and toss ups with ECU and USCe.
Florida will most likely be 2-6 heading to the Vandy game.

Most think 8 wins, Vegas thinks that's underachieving. You're making mt Everest out of a molehill. On the contrary, most of us are gunshy, there's no payoff in getting your hopes up after watching the last 8 years.
