A couple buddies and myself will be in town for the game in a couple weeks and are looking for a hotel within reasonable walking distance between the stadium and bars. Never made a trip to Knoxville so I'm pretty clueless to the surrounding area so all input is appreciated.

You're gonna want the Sheraton Four Points. It's the only one within walking distance of the Carousel.

I'd rather stay around market square if I were you, better bars. You can probably find a shuttle relatively close by.

There are shuttles running from market square to the stadium on game day. They are pretty cheap and you miss a lot of the after game traffic

If you can't find billeting near the carousel, the next best option would be anywhere near Magnolia. It's a different kind of nice, but a must see.

Billeting? Just the way Goulet would have said it. Nice.
