All of the East side sucks. Hadn't had shite since UGA in 2012. I'm just hoping the West can gets its act together before we start losing TV contracts. It takes more than 1 good team to make a conference.

You do realize they award tv contracts based on ratings (the SECs aren't going down) not on how good the conference supposedly is right?

WHAT? This is a Goddamn lie. We have played a minimum of 3 games against the Big 6 every year since the divisional split. Just like Georgia and just like Florida, LSU, and Auburn.

The only reason we would have less games against the big 6 than the other schools during the last 8 years is because we haven't had a SECCG appearance.

Yeah, I had a case of the dumbarse there. The Op is about a specific time period and my reply was about historically.

Can't argue there. We didn't get to play UF and Georgia every year until the divisional split. Which is unfortunate because we could have run up the historical head to head record scoreboard if we had been playing UF before they were worth a shite.

We've also had to play Alabama more than anyone else in the conference.

OP is a fricking moron tho.

Even if OP adjusts the stats as you suggest, they'll still be quite ugly.

I acknowledge that. I said he did a good job overall, so there's no need for these little fudges on the stats.

You do realize that if the conference sucked like this for long enough that we would not be able to negotiate as big a deal next time?

Despite our worse two-year run in 20 years, Mizzou still has a winning record against Tennessee.

What do you think holds ratings up? Winning and strong competition.

It feels like a rotation to the the B1G. They have the momentum right now so we need several strong teams to emerge again.

But, actually as long as we don't water down our sport with an 8 team PO we'll be fine. Every game needs to matter to keep the passion up. Not the fricking NFL model.

the theory that a playoff would cause fans not to care about regular season games IS and always has been ludicrous

Why don't you bring up some more things to see what else we disagree about

That's like denying water is wet. Why do you think NFL games aren't as exciting? Why do coaches not play their best players in games after they get in the POs? Once you are in it doesn't matter so don't get hurt. The end of the season rivalries won't matter anymore. If both teams are in, like OSU and Michigan would have been, they know they will be in PO so the first game WON'T MATTER. I could go on. Are you an idiot?
