He's a phenom for sure ... but I'm not sure I get it.

Really smart move by The Mets though - and Tebow - although this may be his last stop as an athlete.

I'm glad his farewell tour is happening in SEC country. He has always seemed like a good guy, a class act.

Two former Gators, Heisman winners, having such an influence here is ironic in a way.

They should just bring him the big leagues for a month to sell jerseys

He's already exceeded my low expectations on how this experiment might turn out. Probably going to end up hitting something like .150 but I didn't expect him to hit two HRs in his first three pro games, although it's against players a lot younger than him.

I was at the game Friday night. Amazing the reception he received. When he's up to bat it's like the rest of the team doesn't exist. It's not "Go Fireflies", it's "Go Tebow"

Fun to watch, that's for sure.

I have a friend that pitches on the team that doesn't care for him, but Tebow bought out a movie theater for the team with unlimited concessions for free.

It's pretty incredible that he can even hit minor league pitching after not playing for 10 years.

It's good to see something possitive. I never understood the haters. It's almost like they wish him horrible luck in his life. I don't get it but there are plenty of them out there for whatever reason.

Yeah I wonder what if he chose that sport to begin with.

I had the thought while I was watching the game that I bet he completely stole the show from everyone else that's on the team. I imagine some on the team get tired of hearing his name and everything.

Not saying that's what your friend thinks, but I imagine that sentiment is prevalent.

That pitching friend ought to embrace it. It's bringing attention to his team.

Yeah, Tebow needs to get arrested for shooting up a place or a high speed chase lol. It really is comical isn't it?

With so many parents having to deal with kids getting into trouble, along comes a role model son and people are looking for ways to rip the guy left and right. I can't help tho but wonder what if....what if 12 years ago he put his all into baseball. He flourished under a system at Florida in football but was no NFL QB apparently.

Be honest, not that it was a sure thing, but with his athletism, don't you wonder just a little bit what might have happened had he gone all in with baseball?

How old is he?

I am not a baseball guy, but how many years will it take him to get up to speed? I feel like there is a certain amount of having it or not

eh, it's not like the team is getting exposure nationally for anything other than showing Tebow highlights or that the other players on that team are going to have a better shot at the majors as a result of Tebow being on their team. It may be cool for some of them that have never played in front of crowds like that, but I can easily see how a younger player could get annoyed by all the circus surrounding Tebow.

He has to be close to 30 years old now given how long ago he played for Florida.

ETA: Getting up to speed? Well, his prime is past him as far as youth in big sports. Now, since he is putting his all into baseball now, he has talent enough to get better and probably will. The issue is age. Had he played 4 years of college baseball and went all in, I believe with his talents and athletism that he might have had a real shot. It's hard to start over at his age.

While I also think he has a shot or even went straight to baseball, he is way more talented than so many that it may get him there alone. Also people can put him down all they want to in football, but that year with the broncos, they wouldn't have won alot of 4th quarter games without him or a playoff. If he could have been held back and worked on his motion, I think he would still be in the league. Haven't seen many guys in my years with his passion. I am almost willing to bet he would have played for free for the love of the game.

Didn't have enough passion to switch positions when the Jets asked him.

He was a garbage NFL QB. He was third string behind Mark Sanchez and Greg McElroy.

Oh I agree he wasn't close to being good. But the passion he seems to show the public is that he would have worked on everything he was doing wrong. And I agree he might should have tried a different position and that's where his pride might have held him up rather than help.

Reminds me of all the old white guys that hated Tiger Woods.

I am not saying Tim will succeed in baseball but he (like Tiger) is bringing attention to you and your sport.

Your friend should grow up and have a business mind.
