I don't think anyone questioned that Florida is head and shoulders above everyone else in terms of overall athletics.

BLUF: any Florida fan bitching about Jeremy Foley should STFU as they're the only public school anywhere close to challenging Stanford for overall athletic prowess.

Every one of those schools would give up every one of those championships in exchange for the success Bama has had in football. Anyone claiming otherwise is fooling themselves.

Alabama is just outside with 9 titles. At this rate, Alabama will hit 15 and A&M 20 before LSU gets 10.

We only have one Foley hater here that I can recall and he also hates puppies and vaginas attached to beautiful women.

Great thread. I'm surprised by some of the responses though.

Where'd you find the info/link?

I think IIRC, UF and LSU are 1 and 2 in total SEC championships.

When you expand the aperture:

SEC National Champions since July 2012:

Florida - 7
Alabama - 5
Georgia - 3
Texas A&M - 2
Arkansas - 2
Vanderbilt - 2
LSU - 1
South Carolina - 1

Take away men's golf and LSU has 0 national titles since the conference expanded.

Winning begets winning, pure and simple.

UF is well out in front with 225 SEC titles, Tennessee is still in second with 154. LSU is at 132.
