#1 Florida
#2 Vanderbilt
#3 Texas A&M
#8 LSU
#10 Ole Miss
#12 South Carolina
#13 Arkansas
#15 Mississippi State

With Alabama, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Missouri all receiving votes.

Only Georgia and Auburn aren't receiving at least a vote.

USCjr and Arky get after it this weekend. That series will set the tone for both clubs.

The SEC dominates baseball? Who knew? Seriously though, if we could just get our shite together in bball we would rule college athletics with an iron fist. We haven't had a triple crown in 20 years

Been saying it for years that a very valid argument could be made that the SEC is more dominant top to bottom in baseball than it is in football

If UGA takes 2/3 this weekend, they should receive votes. It's a shame we aren't right now considering our SOS & RPI.

Poche has had one shakey game. Lange has had three in a row. And from this you say POCHE needs to get it together?

Fla
Vandy
A&M
make Omaha
with a 4th coming from the rest of that group, Ole Miss has been impressive early but typical Omaha is not earned in Feb/March

My LSU brethren will downvote me, but we are going to struggle a bit in SEC play. Will not be ranked as high as we are now. Just really young and pitching we thought would be our strength is inconsistent.

Cannot wait to go the SEC baseball tourney again this year. Was a blast last year, and the field will be even better this year. If you are an SECranter that enjoys SEC baseball and you haven't been, you need to go.

Glad LSU starts off with a home series against a good pitching staff in Alabama to get our feet wet before going to play on the road in College Station against a #3 ranked A&M club. This will give us one more weekend to work out our pitching and at the same time it should be a good test for our hitters. That being said we should be able to win the series handily.

No downvote, I think you might be right. I think the hitting will be fine though, and I just refuse to believe that our pitchers forgot how to pitch. They are mostly the same staff from last year that was solid, plus a few freshman. They should be good. I'm holding out faith that they just need to workout the kinks, but that they will get it together soon.

It seems like Georgia would be better with their instate scholarships to offset the lack of baseball scholarships allowed.

It's a strange phenomenon for sure. Our claim to fame so far is being the first SEC team to win the national title in baseball. We were one game away in 2008 (?) of winning the CWS again but got out slugged by Fresno State in the finals.

I think they've been solid so far. Puk is really the only one I've been disappointed in but even he only as a 2.65 ERA so it's not like he's getting blasted out there. Just expected him to be a bit more dominant.
