Taken from a sarcastic thread, but I'm glad I got to watch Saban's run

Saban isn't going to coach forever. It gets frustrating at times when you don't root for a team he coaches, but when I'm an old coot I'll be able to talk about getting to watch Nick Saban create some of the best college football teams to ever be put together. To be as dominant as he has been in this day and age is a thing to behold. Yeah we're sick of Bama winning, but at this point you just have to sit back and admire one of the best coaches to ever walk this earth. He took a garbage LSU program and built such a strong foundation that not only did he win there, Les fricking Miles won there. After that his run at Bama needs no explanation. We'll be bringing up his name and his teams while we're sitting in our solar powered, floating rocking chairs.

It's pretty cool after growing up listening to old timers talk about Bear. We have our own now and one day we'll be harping on this golden age

After years of hearing Bear stories from my uncles, I never thought is see anything comparable. But not only have I finally seen it, he's also coaching at Bama. It's been an unfrickingreal ride.

Great team and great coach, BAMA has had two of the best in Bear and Nick. Like watching and comparing Jack N. and Tiger W.

Both comparisons are good and coaches and players from different times.

Had the opportunity to watch them both. Bryant from when I first started following football as a kid in the late 60s, and Saban since he started making noise at Sparty.

Saban is the better HC. He's done almost as much at Bama as Bryant did, in an infinitely more competitive era, in less than half the time.

Definitely tGOAT. I'm ready for him to fricking retire already.
